Vision Statement
Purpose:
Fed by prayer and the continual desire to know and obey
God’s Word, Grace Fellowship Church desires to glorify Jesus
Christ the King by loving Him and loving our Germantown neighbors in
the following ways:
I. Preaching/Teaching Ministry
- To faithfully, sensitively,
and practically preach and teach the Word of our Lord and King from a
Reformed perspective, in a way that communicates to and builds up our members and addresses the
needs of all
those in our neighborhood.
II. Community Needs Ministry
- To be an outreach oriented
fellowship that uses the unique gifts of all our members in ministering
to the Germantown community’s physical and spiritual needs.
- To support, encourage and
promote the work of urban missions, i.e., programs for "at-risk youth",
evangelism, church planting, and diaconal ministries.
III. Praise and Worship Ministry
- To worship joyfully and
reverently our King in a way that honors Him, is in accordance with His
word, and is sensitive to the needs and ethnic diversity of our
community.
IV. Fellowship Ministry with God and With Our Neighbor
- To encourage personal
intimacy with God through prayer, study, worship, accountability and
small groups.
- To transcend cultural and
ethnic boundaries by fostering a loving and unified fellowship with
each other and our Germantown neighbors.
V. Member Ministry
- To encourage every person
in our fellowship to use their gifts to serve God, our church, and the
community.
- To develop Christian
leaders from within our Germantown community.
